Coach Steve is a Sausalito-Marin City (SMC) native, with over 40 years’ experience coaching youth baseball for players from 4-18. The Knudsen family has a rich history with SMC Little League since 1957. The Sausalito baseball field, Konnie Knudsen Field is named in honor of Coach Steve’s dad. Coach Steve currently serves on the SMC Little League Board of Directors, develops training, and assists coaches and parents at various levels. He is a 24 year Army veteran. Coach Steve has been married to his wife, Lesia, for over 40 years. Together, they have three grown children, four grandchildren and have foster parented several teens. Coach Steve tutors at both campuses of SMC School District and serves as a mentor to young men with the Marin City Fatherhood Council. Coach Steve’s passion is helping young people to succeed in life AND to have fun playing baseball.
